Consultation counsel — where matters enter the case ledger

Is LegalDrive a driving school, cloud storage provider, marketing agency, or outcome-guarantee service?

No. LegalDrive Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore law practice providing commercial and private client counsel — not a driving school, cloud computing platform, advertising agency, or any service that promises guaranteed legal outcomes. Our name refers to driving a legal matter forward through sequenced stages of risk assessment, document preparation, and procedural next steps recorded on the case ledger. We do not teach driving licences, host data in the cloud, produce marketing campaigns, or offer assurances that any court, tribunal, or counterparty will decide in your favour. If you reached this site while searching for unrelated services, we apologise for any confusion caused by the shared word "drive" in our branding. For legal counsel on corporate, regulatory, employment, or dispute matters in Singapore, you are in the right place.

What happens during an initial consultation?

Your first meeting — in person at CapitaGreen or via secure video — is a structured fact-finding session. We ask about the commercial context, timeline, parties involved, and documents already in your possession. We then explain which practice area applies, outline the likely sequence of work, and provide a fee estimate in Singapore dollars. The consultation itself is billable unless we agree otherwise in advance. You leave with clarity on next steps, not a vague promise to "look into it."

How are fees structured?

We offer hourly billing for complex or unpredictable matters, and fixed-fee arrangements for defined scopes such as standard incorporations, wills, or contract reviews under ten pages. Disbursements — filing fees, search fees, translation costs — are charged at cost with prior notice. A fee estimate is provided before active work begins, and we notify you if scope changes materially. Invoices are issued monthly with itemised time entries or milestone descriptions.

Do you handle matters outside Singapore?

Our primary jurisdiction is Singapore law. For cross-border matters, we coordinate with trusted foreign counsel while retaining responsibility for the Singapore elements — governing law clauses, local enforcement, regulatory filings, and liaison with Singapore authorities. We do not hold ourselves out as qualified in foreign jurisdictions unless we have explicit admission or co-counsel arrangements in place.

How do you protect client confidentiality?

All client matters are protected by solicitor-client privilege and our obligations under the Legal Profession Act and the Law Society of Singapore's practice rules. Internal matter files are access-controlled. We do not discuss client matters with third parties without written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to obtain specialist advice under appropriate confidentiality protections.

How is my personal data handled when I submit the contact form?

Personal data submitted through our contact form is collected solely to respond to your enquiry, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data to third parties. You must tick the consent checkbox before submitting — it is not pre-selected. For full details on retention, access rights, and complaint procedures, see our Privacy Policy.

What response time should I expect?

We aim to acknowledge all enquiries within one business day during office hours (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 SGT). Complex matters may require additional time for a substantive response. Urgent regulatory deadlines or court dates should be flagged in your enquiry so we can assess priority appropriately.

Can I visit The Counsel Chamber in person?

Yes. Consultations are available at our CapitaGreen office at 138 Market Street, #22-05, by appointment during office hours. Reception on the ground floor directs visitors to the lift lobby. If you prefer video consultation, we arrange secure sessions for clients who cannot attend in person — particularly useful for regional teams with Singapore-related legal questions.

Do you offer fixed fees?

Where scope is definable — standard incorporations, straightforward wills, contract reviews under agreed page limits, or regulatory response templates — we offer fixed-fee quotes in Singapore dollars before work begins. Complex litigation, open-ended advisory retainers, and matters with uncertain procedural paths are typically billed on an hourly basis with estimates and milestone updates. We explain the basis before you instruct us.

What documents should I prepare before contacting you?

Bring or attach whatever exists: contracts under dispute, correspondence from regulators, corporate constitutions, employment letters, or court documents already filed. You do not need a complete file — an initial consultation helps identify what is missing. Avoid sending highly sensitive materials through unencrypted email before we confirm engagement and provide appropriate secure channels.
